Anne Spindel studied the French Pastry Arts at Le Cordon Bleu culinary school, graduating with honors, to the highest degree of Patisserie Superior. She is honored to have trained under some of the top pastry chefs in the profession and continues to pursue opportunities to advance her skills.

Anne´s fascination with nature and flowers began as a child growing up in scenic Ithaca, New York and Austin, Texas. She has visited some of the world´s most spectacular gardens and botanical institutions in her many travels. Anne is a devoted volunteer at The Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota, Florida and in her free time, enjoys tending to her own garden, which features many roses and orchids.

Fluent in Spanish, Anne earned an International Business Administration degree from United States International University in Mexico City, Mexico. After graduation, Anne became immersed in the luxury market including hotel, spa and architectural design. She returned to the United States along with her husband and three children in 2004, and subsequently began intensive classes specializing in cake decoration, sugar flowers and horticulture. Following thousands of hours devoted to perfecting her art, Anne was fortunate to train under the renowned master of sugar flowers, Ron Ben-Israel. She discovered her passion in creating exquisitely detailed, handmade flowers for fine bakeries, discerning brides, wedding consultants and wedding planners. Today, Flowering Confections is a premier supplier to the finest cake designers in the luxury event cake profession.
